Twins Vs. Mariners Preview: Minnesota Hoping To Avoid First Sweep By Seattle In 11 Years

Stay connected for news and updates

Minnesota Twins pitcher Samuel Deduno (4-0, 3.38 ERA) looks to improve to 5-0 since his call-up in July, while the Twins try to avoid a sweep in Sunday's series finale against the Seattle Mariners and end a four-game losing streak. The Twins have not been swept by the Mariners in 11 years. Minnesota has won six of Deduno's seven starts since his call-up.

Blake Beavan (7-7, 5.17 ERA) gets the start for the Mariners. Beavan has won four of his last five starts and has lowered his ERA nearly a full run since July 17.

The Twins started August with five wins in their first seven games, but have since lost eight of nine games.
