Tigers vs. Twins lineups: Willingham still out, Carson in

Scott Diamond is on the mound for the Twins, who will have to play spoiler on Friday without Josh Willingham, who is still too sore to go.

Minnesota Twins outfielder Josh Willingham is out again, as he continues to nurse a sore shoulder. Matt Carson is in for Willingham, as the Twins look to play spoiler against the Detroit Tigers on Friday night at Target Field.

Scott Diamond (12-8, 3.64 ERA) will take the mound for the Twins, just five days after beating the Tigers in Detroit. He'll face the same Tigers lineup on Friday that he did on that day. Meanwhile, Detroit will send Drew Smyly (4-3, 4.24 ERA) to the mound as they look to extend their two-game lead over the Chicago White Sox in the AL Central.
