Minnesota Vikings 17, Washington Redskins 10 - Special Team Fail The Vikings Again

Stay connected for news and updates

It wouldn’t be a Vikings game if they didn’t give up a momentum-changing kick return when they’ve got everything going their way.

Washington’s Brandon Banks initially muffed the kickoff, but picked it back up and managed to rip off a 65-yard return to the Vikings’ 28-yard line. Minnesota’s defense held firm, however, and foreced the Redskins to settle for a 40-yard field goal from kicker Graham Gano, which he managed to sneak just inside the left upright.

With 13:34 left in the ball game, the Vikings still lead the Redskins, 17-10.
