Minnesota Vikings 17, Washington Redskins 13 - Redskins Edging Closer

Stay connected for news and updates

The Vikings still have a lead, but it’s not from lack of trying to give it back.

After going three and out following an inexplicable handoff to Jeff Dugan on third and less than a yard, the Vikings punted away to the Redskins, and immediately gave up a 45-yard completion from Donovan McNabb to Anthony Armstrong. Madieu Williams got completely scorched by Armstrong on the play, and a better throw by McNabb would have resulted in a touchdown.

However, the Viking defense held firm after that, and Graham Gano came in and hit his second field goal of the afternoon, this one from 42 yards out.

With ten minutes remaining in the ball game, the Vikings are clinging to a four-point lead, 17-13.
