You wouldn’t expect one of the Vikings’ bigger jumps of the week in the Power Rankings to come from CBS Sports, where the rankings are put together by noted Viking hater Pete Prisco. However, the team did make some significant headway in the CBS Sports Power Rankings for Week 13, jumping from number 27 to number 23 with a bullet. Maybe.
Prisco also seems to like Leslie Frazier, too.
Leslie Frazier is 1-0 as coach of the Vikings. I think he will be the right guy for the long term.
I actually. . .agree. . .with. . .Pete Prisco on something?
To borrow a phrase from latter-day American philosopher Redd Foxx. . .“I’M COMIN’, ELIZABETH! THIS IS THE BIG ONE! I’M COMIN’ TO JOIN YOU!”

The folks at ESPN have moved the Vikings in the Power Rankings for this week in a manner more commensurate with what you would expect for a team that brought home a victory. Sitting at number 25 in the rankings after the previous week, the Vikings have moved up two notches after this weekend to number 23, and ESPN notes an interesting trend.
The “interim” coaching trend continues to be successful with Leslie Frazier.
That’s right. . .the last seven National Football League coaches that were hired in the middle of a season all wound up having better records than their predecessors, and Frazier is indeed continuing that trend.
We like Coach Frazier a lot here and hope that, for his sake and the team’s sake, he can continue moving the team in the right direction.

Well, when you lose like the Vikings had been coming into this weekend's games, you expect to drop in the Power Rankings. . .and when you win, like Minnesota did this weekend, you expect to turn around and start moving in the right direction. Apparently, a lot of the folks that put together Power Rankings for the National Football League agree, as it appears that the Vikings are, much like George and Weezy, moving on up.
We start, as always, with the mothership at SBNation.com and where they have the Vikings slotted. Now, the Vikings didn't move up in this week's SBNation Power Rankings, which is strange to me, but thankfully they didn't move down either, as they're still locked in at number 28 like they were last week.
Maybe there's some life left in these guys after all. The playoffs are a pipe dream at this point Leslie Frazier is said to be the real deal. We'll see if he can get this group on the right track to finish out the year.
Well, if Sunday is any indication, then this team is off to a good start in the Leslie Frazier era. We'll have to see if it continues when they return home this weekend to take on the Buffalo Bills.
