Joe Webb what may be the play of the game on this drive, and looked like a 10-year veteran in doing so.
Facing a third-and-11 from the Philadelphia 47, Webb took a shotgun snap, looked into the teeth of a heavy Philadelphia blitz, and delivered a laser over the center of the field right into the hands of Percy Harvin for 19 yards and a first down. Adrian Peterson followed that up with a 27-yard run down to the Eagles’ 1-yard line, and eventually Peterson found his way into the end zone. Ryan Longwell’s extra point pushed the Minnesota lead back to 10.
The Vikings’ scoring drive took 8 plays to move 60 yards, taking 3:34 off of the clock to do so.
With just a shade under seven minutes left in the game, the Vikings now lead the Eagles by 10, 24-14.
