Raiders Vs. Vikings: Adrian Peterson's Time To Shine

The Minnesota Vikings will play the Oakland Raiders this weekend. Hopefully Adrian Peterson gets a chance to show what he's capable of doing.

The Minnesota Vikings will host the Oakland Raiders on Sunday as they look to put their Monday Night Football loss to the Green Bay Packers in the past. If the Vikings are going to get out of their slump, Adrian Peterson will need to be the focal point of the offense.

Peterson should have been the focal point all season, but considering the team has fallen behind too far on the scoreboard to make running the football a viable option, the Vikings best player has been limited quite a bit this season. On Monday night, Peterson only carried the ball 14 times. He picked up 51 yards and a touchdown, but the team couldn't keep eating the clock as Aaron Rodgers continued to put points on the board.

The Raiders represent a different attack, especially if they are without starting running back Darren McFadden, with Carson Palmer at the helm. The former quarterback of the Cincinnati Bengals came out of retirement to join the team midseason and has looked solid ever since a terrible debut outing.

The Vikings are basically only playing for pride at this point, but a home win certainly couldn't hurt.
