Schefter: Peterson Contract Extension Worth $96 Million, $32 Million Guaranteed

We've been looking for confirmation on what kind of numbers were attached to Adrian Peterson's new contract extension, and it appears as though ESPN.com's Adam Schefter has them, according to what he just said on Twitter.

I'm not 100% sure if those numbers are correct, considering that Titans' running back Chris Johnson got $36 million guaranteed.

Regardless, Mr. Peterson appears to be excited about the prospect of spending the rest of his career in the purple and gold.

I sure do hope that #28's optimism is warranted.
