What happened next was pretty bad.
An incomplete pass from Christian Ponder to Kyle Rudolph and a carry for no gain by Adrian Peterson had the Vikings facing 3rd-and-10 from the Seattle 11-yard line. Minnesota handed the ball to Percy Harvin, who gained six yards on the play, but Marcus Trufant ripped the ball out of Harvin's hands for a fumble. The Seahawks recovered, and were in business at the Minnesota 17-yard line.
A couple of carries by Marshawn Lynch put the Seahawks in a first-and-goal situation, and the Seahawks finished the drive with a touchdown pass from Russell Wilson to Golden Tate for a touchdown. Steven Hauschka added the extra point, and suddenly the score was tied.
The Vikings can't turn the ball over if they want to have a chance in this one. They just committed a big one. Now it's time to see how they respond.
With 8:52 left in the first quarter of play from Seattle, the Seahawks have tied the Vikings at seven.
