Vikings injury report: Jared Allen playing with torn labrum

It was revealed on Sunday that Minnesota's star defensive end is playing through a serious injury.

The Minnesota Vikings didn't suffer any new injuries in Sunday's 23-14 loss to the Green Bay Packers, but that's a thin silver lining on a loss that dropped the team to 6-6 on the season. It also didn't mean that the team was without injury news, as FOX's Jay Glazer reported that Jared Allen has been playing through a torn labrum in his shoulder for multiple weeks so far this season.

Allen played on Sunday, and there has been no indication from the Vikings that he won't continue to play. That said, if the Vikings continue to fall out of the playoff race, the team may decide to shut Allen down. Allen has 8.5 sacks on the season, but had none in the last three weeks up until he tallied 1.5 sacks against the Packers.

Elsewhere on Minnesota's injury report, wide receiver Percy Harvin missed the game on Sunday as he continues to recover from an ankle injury. Though Harvin's status was reportedly up in the air heading into the game, head coach Leslie Frazier told reporters after the game that Harvin had "no chance" to play in the game against Green Bay. Frazier was mum on Harvin's status heading into Week 14.
