Minnesota Vikings receiver Percy Harvin has postponed shoulder surgery due to a family emergency.
Harvin, who was supposed to have the operation on Tuesday, posted on Twitter:
To all my fans did not undergo surgery today had to put on back burner to support my family through emergency thanks

The surgery was to clean out bone spurs.
Harvin battled health issues for much of 2011. He had rib and finger injuries to go along with a sprained AC joint (shoulder).
According to 1500ESPN.com, it is not known how this postponement affects Harvin's readiness for practices, which begin on May 29.
It's been a rough week for Harvin, who was implicated in stories about the downfall of the Florida Gators football program.
