The NFL will announced the official 2012 schedule for the Minnesota Vikings, along with the other 31 teams, Tuesday night at 7 ET.
While we have to wait a few hours yet to get the dates and kickoff times, we do already know the 2012 opponents:
Home: Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans
Away: St. Louis Rams, Seattle Seahawks, Washington Redskins, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts
As always, the Vikes will face their intradivision rivals -- the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers -- once at home and once on the road.
While the NFC North is loaded, and while the 49ers and Texans had solid 2011 campaigns, the Vikings' schedule is chock full of teams that struggled last season. St. Louis was 2-14; Tampa Bay was 4-12; Jacksonville was 5-11; Indianapolis was 2-14.
The preseason schedule is already out (times central):
August 10, 8 p.m: @ San Francisco 49ers
August 17, 7 p.m: vs. Buffalo Bills
August 24, 7 p.m: vs. San Diego Chargers
August 30, 6 p.m: @ Houston Texans
