The Minnesota Vikings plan to use rookie wide receiver Jarius Wright in a variety of roles this season. Wright talked a little about his early experiences with the team in spring minicamp on Friday at the NFLPA Rookie Premiere event in Los Angeles.
"We just talked about me playing a little bit both inside and outside receiver," Wright said. "Conversations with the coahces have gone good and I think they think highly of me."
Wright joins an offense with a handful of lightening quick playmakers, and he sounded excited about the chance to play alongside the likes of Percy Harvin and Adrian Peterson.
"From a football standpoint, I was very happy," Wright said of being drafted by the Vikings. "I've always looked up to a guy like Percy Harvin and the chance to get to play with a guy like that. Also, Adrian Peterson, Chrisitian Ponder and the chance to play besides guys like these is like a dream come true."

The Minnesota Vikings might not have been the best season in the NFL last year and don't exactly have a bevy of star power outside of Adrian Peterson, but that doesn't mean a behind the scenes look wouldn't be fun at this year's training camp.
Alas, that won't be the case. 1500 ESPN's Judd Zulgad reported on Thursday afternoon that Minnesota is the latest team to turn down the ultra-fun, over-intrustive "Hard Knocks" show that is broadcast each preseason (that isn't shortened due to lockout) on HBO.
Add the Minnesota Vikings to the list of NFL teams that won't be appearing on HBO's "Hard Knocks" during training camp this summer.
An NFL source said that for the second consecutive year interest was expressed in having the Vikings be part of a show that has become very popular but is seen as being far too intrusive by many organizations.
Quite a few teams have turned down the offer, but hopefully someone exciting takes the bait and steps up to keep the preseason interesting.
