Touch Adrian Peterson In Practice And You're Cut, Apparently

Stay connected for news and updates

Adrian Peterson returned to practice for the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday, earlier than predicted but not exactly earlier than expected by those who have watched his career. For those worried that re-injury might occur, however, head coach Leslie Frazier has taken the proper precautions.

In fact, according to the Star Tribune's report of the All-Pro running back's first practice since the injury, Vikings defenders will have to worry about being cut from the team if they decide to get physical with the star player.

But until further notice, the Vikings have hung a giant "Do Not Touch" sign around Peterson's neck.

"The rules are simple," safety Jamarca Sanford said. "Do not touch 28. If you touch him, you're cut."

That might be a bit extreme -- and hopefully (probably?) sarcastic -- but that's probably the right mentality for now.
