A Minnesota Vikings offensive line struggling with the injury bug has taken another hit. Geoff Schwartz suffered a reported abdominal strain on Thursday, and the news came down Saturday that he'll miss some time:
Looks like OL Geoff Schwartz will indeed undergo a sports hernia procedure. Can be a 4-to-6 week recovery process

Schwartz is currently competing with second-year player Brandon Fusco for the starting spot at right guard, and the two have been splitting first-team reps during training camp.
The loss follows injuries to fellow offensive lineman Pat Brown and DeMarcus Love. As a result, the Vikings have signed guards Bridger Buche and Grant Cook to give them some depth for camp. The team cut defensive end Eric Latimore and receiver A.J. Love to make room for the new signings.
