Niners At Vikings Score: Vernon Davis Gets San Francisco Within Four, 17-13

Stay connected for news and updates

The Minnesota Vikings haven't been able to get it going in the second half of play, and the San Francisco 49ers have taken advantage to make it a four-point ball game.

After a three-and-out by the Minnesota offense. . .their first of the afternoon. . .the Niners put together an 86-yard drive that featured a nice mix of run and pass, including a very nice touch pass from Alex Smith to Vernon Davis to put the ball at the Minnesota 1-yard line. Smith and Davis got it done from there, connecting from one yard out to cut the Minnesota lead to 17-13.

The Vikings have looked like a different team in the second half thus far. . .they need to respond on this drive if they want to recapture any of the momentum that they had in the first half of play.

With 6:17 left in the third quarter of play, the Minnesota Vikings still lead the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 17-13.
