NFL Picks Week 1: Jaguars Vs. Vikings Has Experts Split

Stay connected for news and updates

Most NFL analysts are split on who will win Sunday's season-opener between the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Of ESPN's 14 NFL experts, eight are picking Minnesota to win. Three of the eight analysts at CBS Sports think the Vikings will win. Two of the three at Yahoo! Sports predict a Vikings win.

Both teams struggled last season. Minnesota finished 3-13 and Jacksonville was 5-11. Both also come into this season with young, unproven quarterbacks in Christian Ponder and Blaine Gabbert. The Vikings will limit star running back Adrian Peterson as he's still recovering from knee surgery. The Jaguars will also limit their star running back, Maurice Jones-Drew, who just recently reported to the team after a lengthy holdout. Jones-Drew is expected to be the team's third down back in week one.
