The Jacksonville Jaguars made the first big mistake of this afternoon's game, and the Minnesota Vikings took advantage with a touchdown. The Vikings then made the second big mistake, but the Minnesota defense held the Jaguars to three points.
After forcing a Jacksonville punt, Christian Ponder went back to pass on the Vikings' first offensive play, and started to step up in the pocket. He was stripped of the ball, and former Vikings defensive tackle C.J. Mosley came out of the pile with the recovery. Jacksonville took over at the Minnesota 16-yard line, but could only gain eight yards. Jacksonville had to settle for a 26-yard field goal by Josh Scobee, and the Vikings' lead went back to two points at 14-12.
The Vikings are putting together another decent drive as we speak, moving into Jacksonville territory. For now, with about two minutes left in the third quarter of play, the Minnesota Vikings lead the Jacksonville Jaguars by a score of 14-12.
