Jaguars At Vikings: Blair Walsh's First NFL Field Goal Makes It 17-12

Stay connected for news and updates

The Minnesota Vikings got themselves a very nice drive after allowing a field goal to cut their lead to 14-12, but had to settle for a field goal of their own to put the lead back to five.

The Vikings drove the ball 75 yards in 11 plays, including a very nice pass from Christian Ponder to tight end Kyle Rudolph that put the Vikings at first and goal from the Jacksonville 4-yard line. However, the Vikings couldn't get it into the end zone in three tries, and Minnesota had to settle for a 20-yard field goal from rookie Blair Walsh to make the Vikings' lead five points again at 17-12.

Rudolph is currently leading the Vikings in receiving with four catches and 61 yards. Ponder is currently 12-for-17 for 156 yards. Adrian Peterson is still at 10 carries for 48 yards and his two touchdowns.

With 12:45 left in the fourth quarter of play, the Minnesota Vikings lead the Jacksonville Jaguars by a score of 17-12.
