Wild Vs. Kings: Minnesota Looking To Bounce Back After Loss

Stay connected for news and updates

Though the Minnesota Wild just had a five-game winning streak snapped against the San Jose Sharks on Thursday, the team is confident heading into their next game, a road tilt against the Los Angeles Kings. Minnesota is in the middle of a five-game road trip and have two games on the road following this, against the Ducks and the Blue Jackets. On Saturday, they'll take on the Kings in the first of four meetings between the teams this season. Last season, the team's split the four meetings, with three of those games going to overtime.

While Minnesota has won five of their last games, the Kings are winners in just one of the last seven outings. They're 1-4-2 in their last seven, with just 14 goals scored in that time. There's a lot of high level players in Los Angeles, and the play hasn't been totally dominated by the opposing teams, but they haven't finished on their chances, which is where the Wild hold the advantage, at second in the league with 1.87 goals-against per game.

The game is set for 10:30 eastern time on Saturday and can be seen on Fox Sports North, as usual.
