The Minnesota Wild have been pegged as one of the NHL's most surprising teams, after a somewhat lukewarm start, they've strung together multiple winning streaks and kept their losses few and far between. Now they have the most points of any team in the NHL, and they're far ahead in the Northwest Division. Their last game was a 4-1 win over the Phoenix Coyotes, and it was their seventh straight victory. They've experienced an offensive resurgence lately, outscoring opponents 25-12 over their last seven games.
Next, they'll wrap up a five-game road trip with a game against the Winnipeg Jets, before heading home for two games. They'll then play three more games on the road before they get some more stable homestands going. It doesn't really seem to matter where they play though, having won seven straight on the road as well.
The Jets had started to pick up pace, winning four straight games, scoring four goals in two of said games, and outscoring opponents 11-5 in that time. But they dropped their last outing to the Detroit Red Wings in a very big way, losing 7-1. They'll be out looking to rebound in a big way when they host the Wild, it should definitely be a good game.
The game is set for 8:30 p.m. eastern on Tuesday.
