The Minnesota Wild made it back-to-back wins after taking down the Colorado Avalanche 3-2 at Pepsi Center on Tuesday night in Colorado.
Carson McMillan netted the game-winner in a comeback win for the Wild, who also received goals from Justin Falk, Dany Heatley and Devin Setoguchi.
The Wild now take a two-game winning streak and some positive vibes into All-Star Weekend, something that seemed improbable just a few days ago when they were riding a four-game losing streak. And with the win, the Wild take control of second place in the Northwest Division.
In addition to the balanced scoring punch, Niklas Backstrom blocked all 15 shots by the Avalanche in the third period of what was an exciting game.
The Wild now have some time off over All-Star Weekend before returning to home ice to face the Nashville Predators a week from tonight, on Jan. 31. After that, they start a three-game road trip against -- you guessed it -- the Avalanche.

The Minnesota Wild are in the thick of a good game through two periods of play at Pepsi Center, tied with the Colorado Avalanche 2-2.
A back-and-forth night has so far seen Avalanche strike first on a goal by T.J. Galiardi in the first period before Minnesota came back quickly with two first period goals by Justin Falk and Dany Heatley respectively to take a 2-1 lead into the first intermission.
However, Chuck Kobasew tied up the game just 4:46 into the second period. Just a couple minutes later, Daniel Winnik of Colorado was whistled for a penalty for slashing Falk, prompting a fight between the two players that resulted in five-minute majors for both.
The Wild are looking to string together consecutive wins after snapping a four-game losing streak with a 5-2 win over the Dallas Stars on Saturday.
