Wild Vs Avalanche Final Score: Minnesota Wins 3-2

Stay connected for news and updates

The Minnesota Wild made it back-to-back wins after taking down the Colorado Avalanche 3-2 at Pepsi Center on Tuesday night in Colorado.

Carson McMillan netted the game-winner in a comeback win for the Wild, who also received goals from Justin Falk, Dany Heatley and Devin Setoguchi.

The Wild now take a two-game winning streak and some positive vibes into All-Star Weekend, something that seemed improbable just a few days ago when they were riding a four-game losing streak. And with the win, the Wild take control of second place in the Northwest Division.

In addition to the balanced scoring punch, Niklas Backstrom blocked all 15 shots by the Avalanche in the third period of what was an exciting game.

The Wild now have some time off over All-Star Weekend before returning to home ice to face the Nashville Predators a week from tonight, on Jan. 31. After that, they start a three-game road trip against -- you guessed it -- the Avalanche.
