Wild Vs. Predators Final Score: Minnesota's Streak Snapped In 2-1 Shootout Loss

The Minnesota Wild had their three-game winning streak broken on Tuesday night, falling to the Nashville Predators by a score of 2-1 via shootout. The Wild had been doing a good job of playing spoiler to their opponents of late, but they momentarily spoiled things for the Detroit Red Wings, as the Predators' win allowed them to jump the Wings into sole possession of the No. 4 spot in the Western Conference standings.

Both regulation goals came in the middle frame with Nashville scoring first and Dany Heatley tying things about five minutes later with his 23rd of the season. Minnesota had a power play in overtime, but Nashville successfully killed it, forcing the shootout.

In the skills challenge to determine a winner, Alexander Radulov slipped one by Niklas Backstrom for the winner after Devin Setoguchi couldn't score on the Wild's final opportunity.

Minnesota has two games left on their 2011-2012 schedule. They play again on Thursday against Chicago.
