Vikings Muddling About In Bottom Half Of NFL Power Rankings

Obviously, a team with a 1-3 record after their first four NFL games is not going to be found in the upper reaches of the NFL Power Rankings, so it isn’t surprising that the Vikings are below the halfway mark everywhere you look.

Real Clear Sports, who aggregates power rankings from nine different sources, has the Vikings at a composite ranking of 20th in the NFL right now. Their highest ranking is number 18, given to them by the good folks at USA Today, while their lowest ranking is 23rd from the not-so-good folks at CBS Sports.

On Sunday, the Vikings will take on another underachieving team in the Dallas Cowboys, who are right underneath the Vikings at number 21. Opinions on them are a bit more varied, however. . .they’re ranked as high as 14th in one poll, and as low as 27th in another.
