Rypien Suspended Six Games By NHL

Rick Rypien of the Vancouver Canucks, who went after a fan in the stands at the XCel Energy Center after Vancouver’s 6-2 loss to the Wild on Tuesday night, has been suspended for six games by the National Hockey League for his actions.

Rypien will forfeit $18,548 in salary as a result of the incident. The Canucks were also fined $25,000, as is the NHL standard for anyone that gets into an altercation with a fan.

No word if any further charges will be brought forth against Rypien.
