Childress Wishes Vikings Were More Like Patriots

In his weekly presser with the New England media, Brad Childress tried to end one controversy, but might have inadvertently started another. A few days ago he called the Patriots one of the all-time great sign stealers, then tried to diffuse the situation by saying:

"I have a great deal of respect for Coach Belichick and the way he’s formulated that program in the last 10 years and I’ve told him so. He has a mentally tough team that are great competitors that’s played the way I hope one of my teams plays one of these days."

Um, Brad. A team is a direct reflection of the coach and the discipline he instills. if the team isn’t playing the wya you want it to, do something about it.

Or, put another way…Someday I hope the Vikings have a coach that’s mentally tough and knows things like when to challenge and two minute clock management.
