James Sheppard designated "Injured Non-Roster Player"

OK, so it isn’t Randy Moss returning, or the Twins about to lay a smack down on the Yankees, but there is news from the Wild today. On their opening day roster, the much maligned James Sheppard has been designated an “injured non-roster player.”

You can find the exact CBA terms, and discussion on Hockey Wilderness, but for now, this leaves Sheppard completely off of the roster, and leaves the door open to suspending him, saving the Wild his $803K salary.
