Pat Williams Wants To Play "A Couple More Years"

While much has already been made about the Vikings’ old quarterback not returning next year, Minnesota’s old defensive tackle sounds like he’s not done yet.

I think we have all come to terms that The Favre Who Cried Wolf won’t be back in 2011. But should the Vikes keep Pat Williams, already the oldest defensive player in the NFL, around next year?

I wouldn’t mind keeping Phat Pat coming in to plug up the middle on rushing downs a la late 90’s Jerry Ball. Heck, I’d want him here just to hear some of his great sound bites a few times each year. But he’s not much of a pass rush threat these days, and at 38 he won’t be getting any younger (or skinnier).
