If wide receiver Sidney Rice wants to play for the Minnesota Vikings this year, he has to be moved to the active roster by the Vikings no later than this Saturday, prior to the rematch with the Green Bay Packers.
↵However, there are rumblings from the Rice camp that say he might not be ready to go by this Saturday. Per the rules that govern the Physically Unable to Perform list, where Rice spent much of the early part of the season, if he’s not activated by then, he has to go on the injured reserve list, which means that he would not be available to the Vikings for the remainder of the season.
↵Sufficient to say, some people are not terribly happy about this.
