Wolves Week: A First Look At Minnesota's Schedule For The Week

The Minnesota Timberwolves have actually given fans in the Twin Cities something to cheer about this season, as the NBA's youngest team has spent the better part of this season playing solid, competitive basketball. This Thanksgiving week, the NBA is giving us three opportunities to see the Wolves in action, and you can follow all of the action here a SBNation Minnesota, as well as at the best site for Timberwolves basketball on the internet, Canis Hoopus.

So, let's take a first look at Minnesota's schedule for the week ahead.

Things will get underway tonight as the Timberwolves will travel to Oklahoma City to take on the Thunder, led by Kevin Durant. Durant is one of the NBA's best young players, and it should be fun watching him and Michael Beasley go at it, particularly in light of the way Beasley has played recently. Tip-off for that one is set for 7:00 PM Central time.

Minnesota will follow that up with a two-game mini-homestand at the Target Center, beginning on Wednesday as they host the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs have been one of the league's most consistent teams, and that hasn't changed this season. . .they currently have one of the best records in the Western Conference at 11-1 and, as of press time, are riding a 10-game winning streak.

After a couple of days off for the holiday, the Wolves will play host to the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors, led by young gunner Stephan Curry, have been inconsistent at times this season, but are still hovering right around the .500 mark. Should be an interesting test for Kevin Love and company. The game is set to tip off at 7:00 PM Central at the Target Center.

The Thunder and Spurs games will be available on Fox Sports North, while the Warriors game will be televised on My 29.

And there's a look at your week in Timberwolves basketball! Be sure to check back during the week for game previews, wrap-ups, and other news about the Timberwolves.
