Wolves Week: A Look At The Minnesota Timberwolves Schedule For The Next Seven Days

The up and coming Minnesota Timberwolves still aren't winning a ton of games at this point, but the youngest team in the league is proving to be a pretty tough out for anyone they tangle with, and are certainly getting better as the season progresses. In this post-Thanksgiving week, they'll have three more opportunities to put a couple more notches in the win column, but two of those three will be part of a Texas two-step on the road before returning home for the weekend.

The Timberwolves won't play for the first time this week until Wednesday, December 1, when they take a trip to Dallas to battle the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks have a big battle on their hands in a highly competitive Southwest division with San Antonio and New Orleans, and will be quite a challenge for the young Timberwolves. Their 12-4 record is the third best in the Western Conference at the moment (in terms of winning percentage), but is only good enough for a tie for second place in their division. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM Central time in Dallas, and you'll be able to watch the game on Fox Sports North, or listen on the radio on KFAN.

The second part of the road trip will be a trip to San Antonio on Friday, December 3, to take on the Spurs, who are currently sitting atop the Western Conference with a 14-2 record. Just a few days ago, the Spurs came to Minnesota and the Wolves led by as many as 21 points, but wound up squandering the lead before ultimately losing in overtime. Will Minnesota have better luck against the Spurs this time around? The game is scheduled to get underway at 7:30 PM Central time, and there won't be any television coverage for this one, but you'll still be able to hear it on the radio on KFAN.

The week for the Timberwolves will conclude on Saturday, December 4 as they play host to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs certainly haven't had the easiest time of it since LeBron James. . .say it along with me. . .took his talents to South Beach, but they haven't completely fallen apart, either, with a record hovering right around .500. Cleveland's only trip to Minneapolis this year will get started at 7:30 PM Central time, and once again there will be no television coverage for this one. You'll have to stick with the good folks at KFAN for your Timberwolves coverage.
