Gophers Suspend Three Leading Up To Michigan State Game

Let’s not fool ourselves. . .the Golden Gophers really don’t have a terribly good chance of an upset when they head to East Lansing to take on the Michigan State Spartans this Saturday, but what little chance they did have has taken a pretty big hit.

The Gophers have announced that three defensive players have been suspended prior to this weekend’s game. Defensive linemen Brandon Kirksey and Ra’Shede Hageman, as well as cornerback Michael Carter, will not be suiting up for the Gophers when they take on the Spartans.

Hageman and Carter won’t play for reasons relating to academics. No reason was given for Kirksey’s suspension.
