Three Counties Pursue Joint Bid For Vikings Stadium

According to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, a tri-county conglomerate is attempting to put together a joint proposal to build the future home of the Minnesota Vikings.

↵

Ramsey, Washington, and Anoka Counties started discussions on this proposal during the summer, and the initial discussions have included using liquor taxes and possible racino money being used.

↵

The site that is talking about being used is the abandoned Army munitions site in Arden Hills, which sits entirely in Ramsey County.

↵

The Vikings are said to be looking at other locations as well, including the property the Metrodome currently sits on, two other undisclosed Minneapolis locations, and an undisclosed location in the suburbs.
