Rosenfels Takes No Snaps on Final Day of Mini-Camp

It doesn't appear as though there will be a battle for Minnesota's number two quarterback spot in 2010.

Sage Rosenfels got two snaps in Saturday's practices for the Vikings. . .and that's exactly two more snaps than he got on Sunday.  Yes, while Tarvaris Jackson ran the first-team offense and rookie Joe Webb ran the second team, Rosenfels stood back and watched R.J. Archer take the few available snaps with the third-string offense.

As he did yesterday, Rosenfels left the field without comment after practices had concluded.  This is a bit of a shocking development, to say the least.  After giving up a fourth-round pick and extending Rosenfels' contract in 2009, the veteran might be on the outside looking in this season.  It's an easy conclusion to draw now that it appears he's behind a guy that was originally slated to move to wide receiver and a guy that has as much chance of making the Vikings' roster as you or I have.

This is the last mandatory activity for the Vikings. . .the veterans, at any rate. . .until training camp starts on the afternoon of July 30 at Winter Park.
