Welcome to SBNation Minnesota!

Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to welcome each and every one of you to the beginning of a new era in the way you receive your news about Minnesota sports.  SBNation Minnesota is going to combine all of the latest Minnesota sports news, insightful commentary, and intelligent coverage that you've come to expect from Canis Hoopus, The Daily Gopher, The Daily Norseman, Hockey Wilderness, and Twinkie Town and put it all in one easy to access location.

↵

The portion of the site you're reading this on, Hooks, Lines, and Sinkers, is a section for quick-hitting types of comments or links to things that are going on in the world of Minnesota sports.  In addition to this, we will also have some longer length feature stories.  The names behind these stories will be familiar to those of you that already peruse most of the Minnesota team sites on SBNation, and for those that haven't gotten around to all of them, they'll soon be names that you'll recognize as well.  In addition to myself, you'll be reading stories from Ted Glover, Jon Marthaler, Bryan Reynolds, and Eric Thompson.  These gentlemen have set a very high standard with their work up to this point, and will certainly maintain that standard. . .and likely exceed it. . .as part of SBNation Minnesota.

The most exciting part of the site, in my opinion, is SBNation's StoryStreams, which is something that those of you that frequent SBNation.com are familiar with.  A stream starts with someone, whether it's one of us or someone back at the SBNation newsroom, breaking a story on the site.  The stream allows us to add updates in a rapid fashion so that the most immediate news can be at your fingertips at a moment's notice.  You'll be seeing these streams with things such as the NHL and NBA Drafts, training camp news, and other things.

We're also quite social here at SBNation Minnesota.  You can follow us on Twitter by going to @sbnminnesota, or you can become our friends on FaceBook by clicking here.  That way, as soon as our site here is updated, you'll know about it, and be able to inform yourself of what's going on in Minnesota sports in the fastest way possible.

We know very well that Minnesota sports fans are the best sports fans in America, and quite frankly you all deserve a site like this one.  We look forward to serving all of Minnesota's sports fans in a greater capacity than we have been, and we want to thank you in advance for making this the best Minnesota-centric sports site on the internet.
