(Sports Network) – Willy Aybar hit an RBI single in the top of the 10th inning, as the Tampa Bay Rays edged the Minnesota Twins, 5-4, in the opener of a four-game set at Target Field.
Carl Crawford had four hits, scored twice and drove in a run for the Rays, who have won two in a row and three of five overall. Evan Longoria and John Jaso had an RBI apiece for the victors.
Lance Cormier (3-1) tossed a perfect ninth to pick up the win. Rafael Soriano recorded his 19th save of the year.
