The folks at GopherSports.com have released the names of the 46 University of Minnesota athletes that were named as Distinguished Scholars by the Big Ten Conference.
↵In order to be named a Distinguished Scholar, an athlete must have a GPA of 3.7 or higher. Throughout the conference, 484 athletes received this distinction, covering 32 different sports across all eleven Big Ten schools.
↵Of the 46 Gophers named, six of them had perfect 4.0 grade point averages. Those six athletes were
↵-Addison Demer, Men’s Track and Field
-Kaylee Jamison, Women’s Swimming and Diving
-Ben Kuznia, Football
-Katie Ohm, Women’s Basketball
-Kathryn Ritter, Women’s Track and Field
-Mike Torchia, Men’s Track and Field
