Owens Named Grad Assistant At Arkansas

Former Vikings’ tight end Richard Owens was named today as an assistant to Bobby Petrino at the University of Arkansas. Petrino is the man who recruited Owens to the University of Louisville and coached him there as a freshman.

Owens played for the Vikings from 2004 to 2007, and served as special teams captain in 2005. In his NFL career, he totaled 17 catches for 141 yards and a touchdown.
