Henderson To Start Training Camp On Active List?

If this comes to fruition, it will be nothing short of amazing.

E.J. Henderson, who broke his femur on a Sunday night in Arizona back in December, may be active when the Vikings hold their first Training Camp practice of the year Friday.

“He won’t have any trouble cutting it loose,” (Vikings’ coach Brad) Childress said. “He’s so adamant about wanting to be out there Day 1. He feels like he’s lifted all these weights, done all the running, all the rehab and now you’ve got to play football. The only way to play football is to play football.”

Cornerback Cedric Griffin, on the other hand, will likely begin on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. A player on the PUP list can rehab and attend meetings, but can not practice with the team.

Here’s hoping that Henderson is ready to go this Friday. Like I said, that amount of progress would be nothing short of incredible.
