The fight for the last two playoff spots in the WNBA’s Western Conference is going to be a good one between three teams. . .our Minnesota Lynx, the Los Angeles Sparks, and the San Antonio Silver Stars.
↵All three teams are currently sitting with 12-20 records. . .yes, being eight games under .500 puts you in contention here. . .and each of those teams have two games remaining. The Lynx have a HUGE game this Friday, as they travel to Los Angeles to take on those same Sparks, and a win would go a long way towards getting them into the playoffs. The Lynx season finale is a road trip to take on the Indiana Fever (21-11 on the year) on Sunday.
↵Los Angeles, after taking on the Lynx, finishes their season with a trip to Seattle (26-6 and currently undefeated at home), while the Silver Stars host Indiana on Friday and the Phoenix Mercury (15-17) on Sunday. The Silver Stars might be at a bit of a disadvantage, however, as they’ve just lost forward Chamique Holdsclaw for the season.
