Favre To Start Sunday Night

When the Minnesota Vikings travel to the Bay Area for their second game of the pre-season, their old (or new, depending on your perspective) quarterback will be taking the field for the first time since last January.

According to Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, Favre will start against the San Francisco 49ers and will play “about 10 snaps.”

Childress said ideally the first series would go 10 plays for Favre because, “that’s what he needs right now and all he’s ready for right now.”

↵

“I think he’s doing a good job of rounding into” form, Childress said. “He has been throwing the football, there is no question about that. Just conditioning his legs. … He’s versed in our system and our calls.”

Also in the article, Zulgad tells us that E.J. Henderson will see his first action since suffering that nasty leg injury against Arizona last December.
