When the Minnesota Vikings travel to the Bay Area for their second game of the pre-season, their old (or new, depending on your perspective) quarterback will be taking the field for the first time since last January.
↵According to Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, Favre will start against the San Francisco 49ers and will play “about 10 snaps.”
↵Childress said ideally the first series would go 10 plays for Favre because, “that’s what he needs right now and all he’s ready for right now.”
↵“I think he’s doing a good job of rounding into” form, Childress said. “He has been throwing the football, there is no question about that. Just conditioning his legs. … He’s versed in our system and our calls.”
↵Also in the article, Zulgad tells us that E.J. Henderson will see his first action since suffering that nasty leg injury against Arizona last December.
