Lynx Eliminated From WNBA Postseason

The Minnesota Lynx held up their end of the bargain on Sunday, but it wasn’t enough for them to punch their ticket to the WNBA playoffs.

The Lynx upended the Indiana Fever 83-79 in overtime on Sunday afternoon, but fell out of the race for the last playoff spot in the Western Conference as the San Antonio Silver Stars completed a 3-point play with 0.9 seconds left to edge the Phoenix Mercury 83-82 and wrap up the WNBA’s final playoff spot.

Despite almost qualifying for the postseason, the Lynx’s 13-21 record was tied for the second-worst in the league with Los Angeles. Only the Tulsa Shock (6-28) had a worse overall record.
