AL Central All But Wrapped Up For Twins

Last night’s 9-3 thumping of the White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field helped the Twins to increase their lead in the division to seven games, as well as reduced their Magic Number to 12.

Obviously, the Twins are in the driver’s seat in the division, and it would take nothing short of a monumental collapse in order for the Twins to not make the post-season.

↵

To put it into perspective, the Twins and White Sox both have 18 games remaining on their schedules. If the Twins merely play .500 baseball the rest of their way, putting up nine wins and nine losses, the White Sox would have to put up a mark of 16-2 over that same stretch. . .just to pull even.

Not saying that anything is certain yet, but. . .have I mentioned that you can sign up for the opportunity to purchase Twins playoff tickets? Might want to think about jumping on that.
