Harvin Appears on Initial Week Two Injury Report

Many of the names on the injury report for the Minnesota Vikings as they approach their Week Two match-up with the Miami Dolphins are the same as Week One. However, there is one name that is new to the injury list that brings a bit of cause for concern.

Percy Harvin, the Vikings’ dynamic wide receiver, was limited in Wednesday’s practice with a hip injury, apparently suffered in last Thursday’s season opener. With the problems the Vikings are already having at receiver, they can ill afford for Harvin to be hurt as well.

Others that were limited in practice on Wednesday were cornerbacks Cedric Griffin (knee) and Chris Cook (knee), defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy (knee), and offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie (finger). No, that last one isn’t a misprint. That’s the finger injury that caused McKinnie to get carted off the field in the season opener.

Ugh.

Players that had full participation in Monday’s practice include QB Brett Favre (ankle), RB Toby Gerhart (knee), and C John Sullivan (calf).
