John Sullivan, who missed the entire pre-season with a calf injury, will start at center this evening for the Vikings against the New Orleans Saints in this year’s NFL season opener.
↵Sullivan made his debut as the Vikings’ starter in the pivot last season, replacing long-time center Matt Birk. If the Vikings are to make headway in tonight’s NFC Championship rematch, Sullivan and the offensive line are going to have to come up big. Now, Minnesota’s entire line from the second-ranked offense in the NFL last year (in terms of points scored) returns intact.
