When the University of Minnesota unveiled their hockey television schedule, there were a few questions regarding how every game would be live. With the Minnesota Wild and (in theory…lets get that lockout solved David Stern!) the Minnesota Timberwolves both having their games on Fox Sports North and preference over the Golden Gophers, this didn’t appear to be possible.
↵Thankfully Fox Sports North has finally reached the 21st century and will be utilizing alternate channels to show multiple games. This beats the past method of not airing Gophers hockey or having Fox Sports North show the game on tape delay (yes tape delayed sports events somehow still exist in 2011). The first one of these conflicts is Saturday night with the Wild facing Detroit and the University of Minnesota facing Minnesota Duluth.
↵The full list of alternate channels are here but for those in the Twin Cities, Comcast will be airing the game on Channel 23 (Minneapolis) or 13 (St. Paul and Direct TV will air it on Channel 675.
