Cornhuskers At Gophers: Nebraska Extends Lead To 34-0

Things are still ugly at TCF Bank Stadium for the home team, and they just keep getting uglier.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers just went on an extended drive to pick up another touchdown, and they lead the Minnesota Golden Gophers by a score of 34-0 going into halftime.

The drive was set up by another Minnesota miscue, as the Gophers actually got pretty deep into Nebraska territory at the Cornhusker 19-yard line. On 4th-and-1, quarterback MarQueis Gray called for one of his receivers to come in motion, and the center took this as the signal to snap the ball. Gray wasn't expecting the snap, and was quickly buried by the Nebraska defense for an 8-yard loss, giving the Cornhuskers the ball at their own 27.

The Cornhuskers then matriculated the ball down the field, mainly on the ground, although Taylor Martinez did get a couple of completions in there. The Gophers stopped the Cornhuskers on a third down deep in their territory, but Rex Burkhead took the fourth down handoff and rumbled into the end zone from four yards out to give Nebraska another touchdown and extend their lead to 34 points.

We're at halftime at TCF Bank Stadium, and the home team is getting crushed at homecoming to the tune of 34-0.
