BCS Rankings Week 10 Projections: What To Expect

Update: Latest BCS rankings are here. Alabama and LSU will remain atop the BCS standings, but Boise State turned into a big winner on their bye week.

The official Week 10 BCS standings don't come out until 8:15 pm ET, but SB Nation's Samuel Chi already has an early look at the projections out over at the mothership. According to BCS Guru, No. 1 and No. 2 will remain the same, of course, but only for one more week:

BCS Standings projections, Week 10: 1. LSU, 2. Alabama, 3. Oklahoma State, 4. Stanford, 5. Boise State, 6. Oklahoma, 7. Oregon, 8. Arkansas, 9. South Carolina, 10. Virginia Tech, 11. Nebraska, 12. Houston, 13. Michigan, 14. Kansas State, 15. Penn State.

The big news is losses for previously undefeated Clemson and Kansas St. opening things up for Boise State. With one of LSU-Alabama set to fall after their matchup next weekend, the Broncos, while on a bye week, now appear to have legitimate national title aspirations if they can stay undefeated. As Chi notes, if Andrew Luck and Stanford hadn't rallied to win at USC, Boise would be sitting *really* pretty.

Check back at SB Nation for continuing coverage and analysis of the Week 10 BCS rankings when they are released this evening.
