Brock Lesnar Vs. Alistair Overeem: Staredown At Weigh In Shows Minnesota Native Is Ready

Minnesota native Brock Lesnar has one of the biggest fights of his career scheduled for Friday night when he faces Dutch kickboxer Alistair Overeem at UFC 141. The Alexandria-based fighter put his game face on for the weigh-ins on Thursday night before stepping on the scale.

Lesnar officially weighed in at 266 pounds -- three pounds heavier than his opponent -- but the former wrestler for the Minnesota Golden Gophers looked as ready as he has in a long time as he prepared to step on the scale. The UFC posted video of the event on Youtube (33:45 if only interested in Lesnar's part):

Lesnar hasn't fought since losing his heavyweight championship to Cain Velasquez at UFC 121 last October. He's since suffered a second bout with diverticulitis, resulting in having surgeons remove 12 inches of his colon, but seems as focused as ever on Friday night's fight.
